Paul Clive, brother of magician and ventriloquist Douglas Craggs, was a magic dealer (Paul Clive & Co Ltd.) in Blackpool, England.

Clive joined The Magic Circle in 1931, founded Witchcraft Magic in 1937.

His business was started in London, designated “The Home of Sir Pryzes.” He issued separate catalogs for Jokes and for Magic in 1937. They also issued so-called “Splash” leaflets advertising new lines.

In 1939 the business moved to Andover in Hampshire. This premise was requisitioned by the authorities shortly after war broke out and in 1940 Clive moved north to Blackpool, where he remained until relocating to the United States around 1954.

He eventually he returned to Britain and died in hospital in Blackpool.[1]

Clive helped form the North West Magic Club, subsequently renamed the Blackpool Magic Circle and now known for its annual one-day convention as the Blackpool Magicians' Club. [2]
