The Salt Trick (or Salt Pour) is an effect wherein an amount of salt poured into a performer's closed fist, vanishes, and reappears in the opposite hand.

Credited to Emil Jarrow who used a method he developed for transporting tobacco in the early 1900s.

Performers known to have performed it are Faucett Ross, Paul Fox, Dai Vernon, Roy Benson, Al Baker, Ross Bertram and Fred Kaps.
