Salvano (1929-2006), born Tomasz Chelminski in Poland, was known as one of the smoothest classical manipulation acts.

Salvano became a profession performer, touring Poland in the 1950s.

In the early 1960s, he performed grand illusions and toured all around Europe with his "Theater of Magic". Later, he gained international fame with his Glass production act.

Since 1966, Salvano has toured Central and Western Europe, England, Africa, Japan and the United States with shows & lectures.[1]

Dai Vernon, writing in his Vernon Touch column (Genii 1984 December), said this about Salvano when he visited the Magic Castle:

Not since the past when I watched John Ramsay perform have I been so intrigued by such diabolical misdirection.
