Shigeo Futagawa was born in Yokohama, Japan. He has been a professional close-up since 1972, specialized in card and coin magic. He has marketed many packet tricks and coin routines. He was the editor of the Fushigi magic magazine.
He has performed at the Magic Castle and lectured all over the world. In 1983, he won the Tenkai Prize, one of the highest awards in Japanese magic.
