Slygo was the stage name of John Halloran, a sanitary inspector for the City of Niagara Falls, New York.
He billed his act as "SLYGO - 10 ACTS IN 10 MINUTES" and for many years of entertained the public with magic, juggling, ventriloquism, character sketches, the man of many faces, and the man who grows. He also sang and played the banjo.[1]
He was one of the first contributors in The Sphinx and was on the cover for July 1912.
Halloran was reported as the Dean of western New York magicians and to be quite ill in the December 1945 issue of Genii.
