Solid Deception

Solid Deception is a classic plot in card magic in which a deck of cards after being used, usually in an Ambitious Card routine, becomes a solid block.
Published by Paul Harris in his book Paul Harris Reveals Some of His Most Intimate Secrets (1976) then marketed as product in 1980, starting the "Solid Deck" craze.
It has since been published in:
