Howard Strickler (1896-1965), an amateur magician, was known for his gags and stunts at Abbott Get-Togethers, which he always attended.
Biography
During World War I he was a naval aviator. Strickler moved to Toledo in 1928 and became associated with Royce G. Martin and together they purchased the Nagel Electric Company, which later became part of Electric Autolite Company. He turned out a number of inventions for devices they manufactured. He was the co-inventor of the first automobile engine heat regulator.
He built a theater in his home and until his retirement, in 1961, he was the plant manager of the Hamilton Street engineering and administrative section of Eltra Corporation in Toledo.[1][2][3]
