Whenever a magician steps up on some kind of raised platform to perform for a large audience, it is considered stage magic. The props he uses must be larger than those used in other types of magic, and his presentation has to include a larger number of people, so he needs to increase the volume of his voice (or use electronic amplification). He must be conscious of lighting and the angles at which the audience can view him. He must also make sure that even the person farthest from the stage is involved in what he is doing.
