July 22, 1893
London, England.

Stanlyn (1893-?) was the stage name of amateur magician Alfred S. Davis who's all-round magic act had no set patter. [1]

Supposedly when attacked by hostile natives in the jungles of Africa, he saved his life using magic.[2]

Stanlyn was a contributor to magazines and was a member of the Magicians' Club, which he joined in 1920.[3] His "Lady from Nowhere" illusion was published in Goldston's Magical Quarterly, Vol 6, No 1, Dec 1939.
