Stephen Forrester B.Ed. (born January 1, 1961 in Saint Albert, Alberta, Canada) is a Canadian magician, locksmith, author, magic historian & rare book collector.

After school, Forrester studied to become a teacher at the University of Calgary and graduated with a Bachelor of Education. At Red Deer College he also completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith, which he completed with a journeyman's certificate. At the age of 20 he came to magic, which he practices part-time. He has performed close-up magic at the Japanese Village Restaurant every Sunday evening for 32 years. He is also an avid student and scholar of the history of magic. In 1993, he published the first Canadian magic bibliography.

According to his own statements, Forrester owns over 8,000 magic books.

Stephen Forrester has written around 80 articles for various magic periodicals (as of 2014).

The Annotated Discovery of Witchcraft is a commentary on the first printed English conjuring text, showing the development of magic tricks from 1584 to the present day. Written by the Canadian magician, locksmith, writer, magic historian & rare book collector Stephen James Forrester. Published for magic historians and magicians interested in the beginnings of their art. Includes unpublished references to Reginald Scot with quotations and illustrations from the early English books on conjuring from 1584 up to 1784. In 1993, Forrester published a Canadian bibliography of magic books called A Bibliography of Classic Authors in Magic and Related Arts.
