He performed professionally in the late 1920s under the name "Patricola" until the Depression had hit the business. He left active performing in 1931, though he occasionally appeared locally until the early 1960s. [1]

His magical writings started in The Billboard where his opinion pieces on magic appeared in the 1920s and '30s. He joined the International Brotherhood of Magicians in 1926, holding membership number 756, and his published articles in The Linking Ring of magic show reviews of magic shows over the years including Gleespen (1931), Dante (1941), and Virgil (1947).

Patrick worked in the powerhouse of the Industrial Rayon Co., retiring in 1971. He was a veteran of World War II, being discharged as a Sergeant Major.
