In Genii November 1989 Vernon Touch column (or the Vernon Touch book) it states that John Calvert received the MASTERS FELLOWSHIP and that:
- "I was honored to receive this award the first time it was presented in 1968. Then what a parade of greats. The award was not presented in 1969 because the Award dates were changed. But here is the rest of the list:

Also from The Academy of Magical Arts Awards Shows A 20 Year Retrospect by Paul Butler Genii 1988 January:
