Place of birth

The Linking Ring, Vol. 34, No. 1, March 1954, on page 26 states: "...Member of the IBM, Dr. Jacob Daley was born in Russia 51 years ago...”

One month later, in its April issue, Vol. 34, No. 2, April 1954, on page 99, Linking Ring corrects the information, it writes: "Fifteen years ago in the Souvenir Program of the 1939 National Conference of the Society of American Magicians in the section devoted to sketches of Amateurs we find:

"Jacob Daley, M. D.: Amateur; born in New York City, March 26, 1897; Parents: Barnet and Anna Daley; educated at Fordham University School of Medicine; S.A.T.C. – honorably discharged. He is a physician. Became interested in magic in 1934. Is a member of SAM and IBM Specializes in cards, cups and balls, linking rings, and sleight of hand. His other hobbies: miniature photography. Address: 317 East 17th Street, New York City, N.Y."
