Vanishing Cane is an effect where a cane or walking stick instantly disappears or transforms into something else, such as a silk.
Carl Rosini is believed to be the first perceive of the idea.
Russell Walsh was to first to recognize that it could be adapted as a "Cane to Silk" effect. See Vanishing Cane to Handkerchief (1935).
