Vanishing Deck is a classic plot in card magic in which the entire deck of cards vanish or leaves one card behind.
Many versions have been developed, going back as early as 1876 by Professor Hoffmann. (looking for reference) (1)
(1) The first one I found is in Sleight of Hand by Edwin Sachs (1877)
