Flourished1900-1930
Vonetta born Etta Ion in England during the late 1800s, was a foremost lady illusionist of her time.

In 1906, with her husband she embarked on the act of "Von-Etta, La Mystere Indescriptible".

She would bill herself as the World's Only Lady Illusionist, at the London Hippodrome. One of her most commented on illusions was a floating coffin and substitution act.

She stopped touring when the First World War broke out in 1914 becoming a dance teacher.

Soon after the formation of the Scottish Conjurers' Association in 1924 she was made an Honorary Member and performed at many of their events including the April 1931 "Our Night of Magic".
