William (Bill) Arenholz (1891-1972), a New York telephone company executive, performed a Chinese novelty act as "Foo Ling Yu" (or "Fu Link Yu").
He became interested in magic in 1932, with Al Baker as a mentor.
Being hearing impaired, due to World War I, he decided to do a pantomime oriental act using a Chinese mask, which was made by Dai Vernon's wife Jean. He appeared on many Society of American Magicians National Shows and served as their National Treasurer.
