William Mayoh (c.1886-1972), a photographer by profession, was a marionettist and magician who performed a Chinese stage act using the Ananym Ho-Yam.

Biography

He became interested in magic at age 14 after seeing a performance of Billy Robinson as Chung Ling Soo.

Mayoh had been a member of IBM (Order of Merlin) since 1946 as member #847. He was also a the SAM Assembly 3 in Chicago (awarded its Certificate of Merit in 1951) and a member of the Houdini Club of Wisconsin.[1]
