R.M. Jamison, an amateur magician, invented Spotted Sticks in 1938.
Jamison was an operator of Trinidad Monument Works. He first became interested in magic at the age of 15.[1]
He was a longtime friend of Orville Meyer and was a prolific contributor to conjuring periodicals including The Sphinx.
His "JAMISON'S MAGNETIC CARD RISE" appeared in Genii 1954 February, listing his address as Woodland hills, California.
