Glee-Spen (1905-1968) was the stage and trade name for H. J. Gleespen, a magician and magic builder in Marion , Ohio

Biography

He started out making magic for his own shows and then for others under his firm "Exceptional Mysteries". Notable magicians who have used his products include W. W. Durbin, Greystoke, Blackstone, Shalimar, and Patricola.[1][2]

He wrote a column in the Linking Ring called "Do you Know" in 1930.

His show in 1931, "In The Realm Of Magic", opened with the production of four large bowls of water (one after the other), from the last bowl he made a large silk production, which were perfectly dry.[3]
