Nouvelle Magie Blanche Dévoilée, Physique Occulte, et Cours Complet de Prestigitation (New White Magic Explained and Complete Course of Prestigitation) was published simultaneously in Reims and Paris in two volumes in 1853 & 1854.

A second single-volume edition was published in Paris in 1858 under the title La "Sorcellerie Ancienne et Moderne Expliquee".

It's the first book written in French which deals exclusively with magic.

This book was used by Prof. Hoffmann, together with that of Robert-Houdin, when collecting material for Modern Magic. A translation of those parts of this work not used by Hoffmann was published in 1937 by S.H. Sharpe under the title Ponsin On Conjuring.
