Arthur Moris (1882-?), after giving his first magic performance at the age of 18 in Wales, toured the Argentine Republic, South America and South Africa. In 1911, he moved to the United States playing Vaudeville as "Moris, The European Card Manipulator".

After moving to London at an early age, Arthur's older brother John assisted the conjurer Albini. Like his brother, Arthur took to magic and by the age of 18 gave his first magic show in Wales.
Arthur toured the Argentine Republic, South America and South Africa until the Boer war broke out. Arthur enlisted in the English Army, as a messenger, and while performing his duties, was wounded in the thigh. After retirement from active service, he again took up magic returning to England.
In 1911, he moved to the United States playing the vaudeville circuits (the Keiths, Low, Polis, and Sullivan and Considine) as "MORIS" The European Card Manipulator.
Moris retired from performing and made his home in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and their three children. Meetings of the National Conjurors Association's Baltimore division (Local #5) were held at his home. [1]
Based on IBM Linking Ring reports, he was still active in magic in 1956.[2]
