Carl Johann Leo Felsman, was a magician famous for his sleight of hand, he also taught the skill to others, and toured professionally at theaters throughout the United States.
According to his brother, Carl "saw his first big magic show" at the age of 14, the magician he saw was Harry Kellar.[1] From then onward, he studied and practiced magic, becoming a professional magician a few years later. Carl then teamed up with his older brother Arthur P. Felsman, with their act called "Felsman and Arthur". Throughout his career Carl bought and sold magic tricks, turning this into a profitable business, eventually opening a store that sold various tricks, and other novelties.
At the time of this death, he had owned two stores.

For his store Carl published a catalog that featured toys, puzzles, and other novelties.[2] He died of the flu on January 9, 1916, and after his death, Arthur would continue to operate the stores, and release the catalogs under his own name.
