Danny Tsukalis (?-1999) was magic demonstrator in Macy's New York store for over twenty years.
Biography
Many magicians as youngster, including Richard Kaufman, Jim Sisti, and David Copperfield,spent endless hours watching Tsukalis pitch at Macy's. [1]
He made his living selling small magic tricks to passers-by. He spent the holiday season at Macy's Department Store in New York City. He would head down to Atlantic City for the summer season. In the autumn, he would wend his way up through New England working at state and agricultural fairs and then back to Macy's[2]
Tsukalis received a certificate of recognition from the I.B.M. Ring No. 59 in New Haven, Connecticut for his contributions to magic over the year.[3]
David Haversat, President of IBM. Ring 59 where Tsukalis held his membership, lead a Broken Wand remembrance at the invitation of Dan's wife, Ruth.[4]
