E. L. Blanchard (1820-1889),[1] was an English writer who is best known for his contributions to the Drury Lane pantomime. He became a prolific creator of dramas and eventually gained critical acclaim for his works. His diaries afford an intriguing glimpses of conjurers as he records his visits to their shows or meetings with them.
Biography
A life long friend of Robert-Houdin he also wrote monologues for the monologuist and quick-change artist, William Samuel Woodin (1823-1888).
