Palingenesia was an illusion created by Thomas Tobin in 1872 which a spectator is dissected and then restored. It was once billed as "Another Man Cut Up Tonight".
Houdini performed it during Christmas season in 1925 at a Broadway playhouse within his two and a half hour show, "HOUDINI."[1]
Neil Patrick Harris and Jonathan Levit revived Palingenesia at the ninth Conference on Magic History in Los Angeles (2005).[2][3][4][5]
