Squircle
From Magicpedia, the free online encyclopedia for magicians by magicians.
Squircle is an effect in which a hole cut into a folded sheet of newspaper changed its shape, from a circle to a square, when the page is opened.
It was created by Ken Bowell and marketed by at least 1947. It was later purchased and marketed by Ken Brooke (whom it is often misattributed to.)[1]
