António Cardinal is the coordinator, since its creation two decades ago, and president of the MagicValongo international festival of illusion and of the respective association of the same name, he was also the coordinator of [[MagicPorto]] and of a couple of editions of the [[International Festival of illusionism of Figueira da Foz]]. He was also the coordinator of the Jornadas Mágicas Cidade de Lisboa, 1980, an event sponsored by the Municipal Government of Lisbon, presided at the time by Nuno Abecassis. He is a former president of the [[Clube Ilusionista Fenianos]] (Porto, Portugal) the first Portuguese institution to be accepted by [[FISM]].

He was, for several times, also President of the jury at the Figueira da Foz above mentioned festival (as well as member of the jury in several other occasions) and several times President of the São Joaão Bosco/CIF festival.

As a magician - for about 50 years - he has performed in Portugal, U.S.A., Canada, Spain, Macau, Tunisia, Angola, Cape Verde and Germany. He performed in many casinos, guest of a Lushophonie festival, and he appeared  in TV shows in several Portuguese TV channels about one hundred times as a performer, commentator of magic issues, conferencist, author and organizer of magic events. His main activities as a performer are/were stage illusions, general magic and mentalism, besides conferencist.
