Kartenkünste was a one of two books written by Ottokar Fischer in wrote two books in German about Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser. Kartenkünste contained his card magic and Zauberkünste his other magic.
Translations
In Modern Card Tricks Without Apparatus (1915), Will Goldston published part of the introduction and the first five effects in modified form. The book was then published serially through The Sphinx starting with the March, 1922 issue. This however, was a literal translation which most found it difficult to follow and the illustrations were omitted.
It was again translated in 1931 as Hofzinser's Card Conjuring by S.H. Sharpe.
