Loyd' (1897-1968), born E. Loyd Enochs, was a creator and manufacturer of magic apparatus who also performed.
He got the magic "bug" in Kansas, where his father was a doctor. Later they moved to California.
He wrote a long running column in Genii called "Gems from the Loyd's Scrapbook" from 1962 to 1969.
Loyd is most remembered for his version of the Multiplying Candles.
