He learned magic while a student in medical college. After World War I, Dr. Kayton became very active in the "Magischer Zirkel" and a contributor to its publication, "Magie". He joined the I.B.M. (No. 997).[1]
He went to New York from Germany and became a naturalized American. Through his efforts, much of Hofzinser's apparatus passed into American private collections.[2]
