Poluhni (fl. 1910-1920) was a Lyceum and Chautauqua magician born William J. Powell.[1]
Biography
It was reported in the Sphinx for June 1917 that he was opening on June 20th in a suburb of Des Moines, Iowa.
Along with him performing tricks on stage, his wife Mimi played the chimes.[2]
To promote his program of magic, he was going to make the auto drive blindfolded on each afternoon preceding his act of the evening.
His promotional photo can be see online at the Conjuring Arts' "The Many Faces of Magic" exhibit.[3][4]
