Bradley Alexander (c.1869-1939) was the first treasurer of the Magic Circle, and he stayed as the honourable treasurer for a record thirty-one years.
Biography
Performed at the first Magic Seance of the Magic Circle. A 'Social Entertainer', performing in peoples' homes and occasionally gave magic lessons for the fee of one guinea. As a successful businessman he also found the time to author the book with the title "Tea: From Grower to Consumer" in the Pitman's Common Commodities of Commerce series.
Awards and Honors
- Awarded the O.B.E. (Order of the British Empire) for works with the poor.
