Professor Robert Hellis (1835-1895) was a photographer, magician, magic teacher and dealer in London.
Hellis performed in venues such as The Royal Polytechnic Institution and The Brighton Aquarium. He had a photographic studio and magic shop at 13 Silver Street, Notting Hill, London. M. H. Spielmann started conjuring after seeing magic tricks for sale in the window of his shop.
In June, 1891 Hellis was listed as a passenger travelling from Liverpool to New York. His return to England is unknown but in 1895 Hellis died back in Lewisham, England.
