Herbert Flint (fl.1890-1915) was the best known "hypnotist" of his era.
Biography
Flint began his tours as a hypnotist around 1890.
His wife was billed as the only lady hypnotist in the world. She was a great attraction because of her beautiful wardrobe which many lady patrons came to the theater just to see.
Most of what we know of Flint, is from his friend C.A. George Newmann who used to visit him. Flint retired to Cleveland, Ohio, and started a mail-order course in hypnotism. In 1915, he came out of retirement and did a "Farewell Tour" throughout the Midwest and Canada under the direction of Felix Blei. Afterward, he went back to his mail-order business.[1]
