Ollapodrida: A Journal of Magical Melange was a bi-monthly homemade Magic Periodical by Alton Sharpe.
The name is a Spanish slang word for hodgepodge, which roughly translates to "crazy mixed-up stew pot."
It contained tidbits of magic history, vintage photos from Sharpe's collection, reviews of shows seen and tricks. The last page was usually reserved for Sharpe's editorial, "Back Chat from Kellar's Den."
It started out bi-monthly then became irregular. A "Bonus No. 1" issue of, dated January, 1988, was sent to satisfy subscribers waiting on issue #15 (which eventually appeared in the summer of 1989). It contained a reprint of Anneman's Card & Pocket Miracle
The 24th and final issue was edited and published by Al's wife, Lorraine, for Thanksgiving 2005.
